YouTube-Star Marcel "Scorpion" Althaus verpasst bei der Q-School der PDC erneut die Qualifikation für die Profitour.

Seit einigen Jahren hat Marcel Althaus versucht, sich von seinem YouTuber-Hintergrund loszueisen, und stattdessen mehr und mehr Darts gespielt.

Zum wiederholten Male scheiterte der 32-Jährige allerdings beim erhofften Sprung in den professionellen Bereich über die Q-School der PDC.

Am ersten Tag gelangen "Scorpion" zwei Siege, für die es Punkte gab, was ihn in eine gute Ausgangslage brachte. Allerdings musste er in der Folge ausschließlich Niederlagen hinnehmen und schied deutlich als 97. der Q-School-Tabelle aus.

Im Vorjahr war der Promi-Darts-WM-Champion von 2017 im Duo mit Martin Schindler noch in die letzte Runde gekommen und nur knapp gescheitert.

Darts Q-School: Arno Merk löst Tour Card

Die Q-School wird inzwischen zum 16. Mal ausgetragen und geht noch bis zum 11. Januar. Es gibt eine europäische und eine britische Ausgabe mit insgesamt 925 Teilnehmern - davon 173, also knapp 20 Prozent, aus Deutschland.

Am Ende lösen nur 29 Teilnehmer eine Tour Card, die zwei Jahre lang zur Teilnahme an den Turnieren der Pro Tour berechtigt. Mit Arno Merk hat ein Deutscher die Tour Card bereits gelöst.
